Our Trainers

NLP NZ trainers have studied with John Grinder the co-creator of NLP, among others, and collaborate with world leaders in NLP to deliver the highest standards of NLP taught anywhere in the world. NLP NZ trainers have extensive knowledge and practical experience in the application of NLP principles across a wide range of disciplines and contexts.

Barbara Wait

Barbara has noteworthy qualifications and experience both as a Certified Trainer of NLP (The NLPTRB & INLPTA). She brings her background of business consulting; training; interests in personal development; coaching and parenting to NLP. Highly accomplished, she assists others in developing, realising and achieving their full potential in business, professional and personal endeavours.

Barbara teaches NLP Certification programs both in New Zealand and Australia as well as providing consulting and coaching for people wanting personal and professional development and change. Barbara has researched and trained extensively with NLP and brings to her work some of the latest developments in this field. She has attended training sessions with John Grinder, Steve Andreas amongst other world renown NLP trainers. She continues to develop and support good NLP practice through training, mentoring and coaching.

Alistair Wait

Alistair, a Certified Trainer of NLP (NLPTRB) began a wave of enthusiasm for NLP training in New Zealand during the 90′s. Well known for his collegial style and entrepreneurial spirit, Alistair has conducted business consultations and educational training programs in both private and government sectors for many years. With an extensive background in business; leadership development and training, he has a particular interest in researching and developing concepts in organisational development, leadership and change. NLP methodology and processes are integral to Alistair’s work. He uses NLP exquisitely and at levels many strive for. He is also an accredited trainer in Spiral Dynamics Integral. Recently, Alistair has taken a more passive role in his international consulting company as he continues to research and work with NLP and Spiral Dynamics.

Sonya Yeh Spencer

Sonya – who believes it does not matter where you are at in your life, change and healing is always possible.

Sonya started her involvement in the area of personal development since 1998. After experiencing an extensive period of personal healing and development, she has acquired truly exceptional level of skills and insight that brings holistic inner change to a new level. She is passionate in helping others to get rid of their Emotional Straight Jacket” to live a fulfilling and happy life. Her caring, healing, compassionate yet non-judgmental approach has helped many to get in touch with their true essence and discover who they are. Change, when implemented in a holistic manner will bring rapid healing and personal evolution. This is true and lasting change that is in harmony with self and the environment / context that you are in. Sonya and Mark together with her three step sons, have build a family that is happy and nurturing and constantly evolving.

Mark Anthony Spencer

Mark has traveled far and wide around the globe, and every where he went he was able to offer his unique skills, insights, warmth, compassion and humor to bring release and healing to people who seek his help. Mark was trained in IT and has a career across industries from News Media, Airlines, Banking to Dairy. With his specialized skills and extraordinary ability to achieve what others think impossible, he held senior positions at the leadership level for many of the organizations that he worked for. However, true success for him is when he knows he had made a positive impact in other people’s life, in a way that transformed them to achieve what they want out of life. NLP is one of the many tools that Mark uses, and it is one of the most effective tools that truly brings results by getting to the core of the issue quickly.
